What types of clients do you see?

My expertise over the years evolved around working with individuals in different stages of their life where I supported adults, adolescents, and children dealing with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and stress.

What are your areas of specialty?

Trauma and PTSD, including childhood trauma, abuse, neglect, or complex trauma. I use trauma-informed approaches that prioritize safety, empowerment, and trust, drawing from models such as EMDR, somatic-based work, and narrative therapy.

Depression, whether situational or clinical, supporting clients in managing symptoms, identifying underlying causes, and reconnecting with meaning and motivation.

Grief and loss, including sudden loss, anticipatory grief, and disenfranchised grief. I help clients move through the grieving process with compassion and at their own pace.

Neurodivergent experiences, including autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences. I work from a neuro-affirming lens that values diversity in how people think, feel, and engage with the world, and I support clients in managing overwhelm, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy.

Do I need to attend in person?

Our clients unique needs mean that we utilise appropriate means of communication.

You can choose to have the session face to face or by video call arrangement (Teams).

What should I expect during the first session?

·       Your first session is all about starting to build a safe and supportive connection. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, and for me to learn what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask you some questions about your background, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything right away — we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

·       We’ll also talk about how therapy works, my approach, and any questions you have about confidentiality or the process. If you’re not sure what your goals are yet, that’s totally okay. Figuring that out can be part of our work together.

·       By the end of the session, my hope is that you leave with a sense of what to expect going forward and whether I feel like the right fit for you.

How do I pay for sessions?

Payment can be direct transfer to bank account. If you have a mental health care plan, then you will complete the full payment, and receive your money back after medicare processes the payment.

Counselling fee: $170 (the gap fee is $85 for Mental Health Care Plans).
